ABOUT US

Sime Darby Travel was set up in 1956 to serve the travel needs of the expatriate community in the country, a large community that included planters, support services and their families.

In addition to the above, the Sime Darby Group is also leading player in the Plantations, Tyre Manufacturing, Motor Vehicle Assembly & Distribution, Heavy Equipment Distribution, Property Development, and Power & Energy Industries.  While the core business are located in Malaysia, the Group has extensive trading and manufacturing interests in China, Singapore and Australia.

Sime Darby Berhad, the parent company, is listed on the Main Board of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange with a market capitalization in excess of US$3.0 billion as at 30th June 2002.  Three other Group companies are also listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange Main Board - Sime Engineering, Tractors(M) Holdings Berhad and Sime UEP Properties Berhad. 

Sime Darby Travel (Outbound and Domestic Holidays Division) was incorporated in 1990 to spearhead the leisure and holidays market.  The setting up of this leisure division was to service the travel requirements of the internationally diversified Sime Darby Berhad Group of Companies.  Later we have progressed to servicing the sophisticated and discerning needs of all travelers outside of the Group.

We specializes in customizing specific holiday packages to suit different clients' requirements like special interest holidays (golf, luxurious cruising and gourmet & wine), fly-cruise holidays and many more exciting vacation packages.

Through our involvement in the travel trade over the years, we are able to provide competitive rates and value for money.

Beside this, we have the expertise and infrastructure to handle big incentive groups.  To date, we have handled numerous groups of 50-600 passengers for companies from manufacturing, insurance, pharmaceutical, multi-level marketing, consumer products, among others.

Sime Darby Travel also acts as the Preferred Sales Agent for several world renowned cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean International & Celebrity Cruises, Cunard Line, Princess Cruises, Silverseas and last but not least, Star Cruises. 

All in all, Sime Darby Travel is constantly striving to enhance its products to cater to the increasingly affluent travel public.
